This is a 7piece toy comprised of 6 Bakugan Traps and 1 Bakugan Figure. The set is composed of the figures, as well as the Gate Card and Special Ability Card. My daughter has numerous Battle Packs, traps, Bakugan Deka, the arena, the launcher and Bakugan Gauntlet (in addition to the Bakugan DS game).

The toy comes in the box as separate figures and step by step instructions are necessary to aassemble the Maximus Dragonoid. Assembly took about 20 minutes, the first time. Instructions are only graphical drawings and not too easy to follow. Once assembled the figure is not as big as I had anticipated on the packaging. Personally, i was not impressed but my 9 year loves it. She likes the ability to use the traps when playing the Bakugan with her other Bakugan Figures.

As for an action set, I question the durability with non-game play (ie as standalone action figures) - given the spring loaded mechanisms and delicate small parts. I do not recommend this for households with children under 5 given the high choking potential. This set is more ideal for kids aged 7 and above - depending upon how gingerly or harsh your child plays with his or her toys.

For the price, this toy is a touch overpriced and I recommend waiting for a price drop by at least $5 to $10. However, the the unique nature of a modular toy, this set is amazing. I recommend this for the Ultimate Bakugan Fan and not for the casual gamer.

Educational Value: Besides working fine motor skills and cognitive development, we found these to be great educational value in the imaginative conversations they spark when you are putting them together with your kids or them with their friends.

Fun Value: The puzzles are colorful and fun to put together. In addition we use the pieces for other games as well. r one we placed puzzle piece in each egg we hid for a Easter egg hunt then had the kids assemble the puzzle when they were done. This way we also knew we had all the eggs found. Another game the kids played in teams and won a puzzle piece for each trivia question that they were able to answer -- when all was done they teams worked together to put the puzzle together. They also have had team puzzle races to see who could assemble their puzzle first. (there are 4 puzzles in this series)

Overall the kids have been able to use these over and over and they are still like new. We are having more fun with these than we have with most puzzles, and our boys who did not ever want to do puzzles are leading the way. Can't say enough for that alone. This is a supersized Bakugan figure when compared to the original line of Bakugan figures. Even the second generation Bakugan B2 figures shy in comparison by the sheer size. The unit is solid in construction and more durable than the smaller counterparts. Rolling this figure on the Battle Arena is a little awkward given the sheer size (palm roll) and landing onto the metallic gate card is more challenging. No other Bakugan will be able to land onto a card (at least if it is centered), if this monstrosity is on the card.

Since these figures are harder to find than the 'slightly less than impossible' to find Bakugan figures, your child will be considered very lucky to have one of these. Since we only have one, it is hard to say what the Power Levels will range for this product. It is about the size of a 5 year old's fist so fitting into a pocket would be cumbersome and impractical. It will not fit into any conventional Bakugan case, either.
